Project Summary

Rebuilt a multidisciplinary visual artist’s portfolio as a bespoke “gallery wall”: work hung in matted hairline frames with museum captions, opening into a full-screen lightbox. Painting, photography, illustration, and six graphic-design case studies each get their own room, with her real titles, mediums, and project write-ups recovered from the original site.

Objectives

• Give the work a gallery-quality presentation that beats the original template
• Show titles and details (medium, size, year) on every painting
• Let visitors view any piece full-screen and browse with prev/next
• Group the graphic-design work into per-project case studies
• Make the whole site editable and crawlable, fast on any device

What We Implemented

• Bespoke Vite + React + Tailwind build on the Fugue Lab platform
• Fraunces + Inter type on warm gallery paper with a single oxblood accent
• Masonry “gallery wall” that respects each work’s true aspect ratio
• Full-screen lightbox with keyboard and button prev/next navigation
• Per-project design tabs (NAEA, Gisou, Mark Bradford, CatCon, National Parks, Sierra Club)
• Prerendered SSG for crawlable pages, per-route SEO, and a sitemap
• WCAG-AA accessibility and a 99–100/100 quality score across the site

Results

• Painting, photography, illustration, and design each presented as their own body of work
• Every painting now shows its real title and details; every project its own case study
• A polished, gallery-quality site that loads fast and reads cleanly on mobile
